DIY Linen Spray with Lavender, Orange and Ylang Ylang
Linen Spray

Spraying down linens and freshly ironed clothing is a good way to freshen a room and your mood. While diffusing is a very effective way to incorporate aromatherapy into your life, we have found that our friends and family enjoy this recipe as a simple and accessible way to venture into aromatherapy.

You can use one of our Synergistic Blends or blend your own!  Use roughly 2 parts water, 1 part vodka, and about 40 drops (max) of essential oils in an 8 oz spray bottle. We always say that essential oils are a lot like salt and pepper, use to one’s personal taste - you can always add more, but removing is a little more difficult.

With each new season, we like to change things up and this summer we’re enjoying a mixture of Orange, Ylang Ylang, and Lavender. This combo is beautiful, bright, and soft at the same time.

15-20 drops Orange: A favorite essential oil used over the centuries for its ability to boost your mood while reducing anxiety. A bright and fragrant top note, Orange is a great choice for freshening linens between washings.

7-10 drops Ylang Ylang: This intoxicating floral scent used for generations as a perfume will also help fight fatigue and get you motivated. It also helps calm while bringing you to a meditative state.

5-10 drops Lavender: Beautiful, versatile Lavender. Known for its calming properties and its ability to help lessen stress and anxiety, it also helps promote sleep and mental well-being.

Leave us a comment and let us know what essential oils you are using this season!

Warning - always do a spot check for possible staining on any garments or linens when using directly on fabrics.

What are some of the most popular types of essential oils that you can adapt for home?
